Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2025
At Nexra Prints, your privacy matters. We don’t sell your data, stalk you across the internet, or do anything shady with your information. We collect only what we need to process your order, improve your experience, and keep the poster magic flowing.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal data when you place an order or interact with our site:
- Your name and surname
- Email address
- Shipping and billing address
- Phone number (if provided)
- Order history
- Basic website usage data (like which pages you visit)
We do not collect your ID number, credit card details (these are processed securely by third-party gateways like Paystack or PayPal), or any sensitive personal information unrelated to your order.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process and deliver your orders
- Contact you with shipping updates or customer support
- Improve the shopping experience on our site
- Show you relevant ads (only if you’ve interacted with us or opted in)
- Track how visitors use our site through tools like Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to improve our marketing reach and content
We do not sell your data or share it with unrelated third parties for advertising purposes. You can opt out of marketing at any time — just click unsubscribe or adjust your browser tracking settings.
3. POPIA Compliance
Nexra Prints complies fully with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa. This means:
- We only collect what we need
- We store it securely
- You have the right to access, correct, or delete your information
- We never sell or share your data for unrelated marketing
You can contact us anytime to request what information we have on record or to ask that we remove it from our systems.
4. Common POPIA Misconceptions
-
“You can’t email me without a signed document.”
Not quite. If you’re a customer or you opt in to our newsletter, we can legally email you. You can unsubscribe at any time. -
“Storing my name and order history breaks POPIA.”
False. We’re allowed to store data essential to the functioning of the store, including order records, for legal and accounting purposes. -
“If I browse your site, you're tracking everything I do.”
We use basic analytics tools to improve performance and understand customer behaviour. We don’t collect personally identifying information unless you give it to us.
5. Who Has Access
Only trusted team members and service providers (like Shopify, Paystack, and shipping partners) have access to your data — and only to the extent necessary to complete your order or support your experience.
6. Data Retention
We retain basic order and customer data for a period aligned with legal and tax requirements in South Africa. You may request deletion of your data at any time unless we are legally required to retain it (such as for record-keeping).
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies (small pieces of data stored on your browser) to:
- Keep items in your cart
- Remember your preferences
- Analyse traffic to improve the site
- Measure ad performance and retarget users who visited our store
You can disable cookies in your browser settings if you prefer — your posters will still look great either way.
8. Advertising & Remarketing
We use Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and other tools to understand visitor behaviour and show relevant ads on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or Google. These tools may collect anonymised data about your device and usage patterns. This helps us improve the performance of our marketing campaigns and avoid showing irrelevant ads.
We do not receive or store personal information like your credit card number or full identity through these platforms. You can opt out of this type of tracking through your browser settings or via ad platform settings (like Facebook’s Ad Preferences).
9. Data Hosting & Cross-Border Transfers
Your data may be processed or stored by service providers located outside South Africa (for example, Shopify’s servers in the US or Canada). We only work with platforms that comply with international data protection standards and POPIA where applicable.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in regulations, technologies, or how we run our store. We’ll post any changes right here, so you’re always informed. Continued use of our site means you agree to the updated terms.
11. Questions?
Got questions, requests, or concerns? Reach out via our Contact Page or email support@nexra.co.za and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
